Two Indian Players tested Positive for COVID-19

It is a tough time for Indian cricket, recently Krunal Pandya tested positive for the Coronavirus. Because of that India suffered in the T20I series as it affected the balance of India which results in a series loss for them.

There were eight close contacts of Krunal Pandya, every one isolated for preventive action. Those players are Surya Kumar Yadav, Prithivi Shaw, K Gowtham, Y Chahal, Manish Pandey, Hardik Pandya, Ishan Kishan, Deepak Chahar.

Because of the non-availability of enough batsmen, India played with only five batsmen in the last two matches, one of the reasons for their loss.

Now latest report reveals that Krishnappa Gowtham and Yuzvendra Chahal tested Positive for the COVID-19 on July 28, and they were asymptomatic. They were the close contact of the Krunal Pandya.

Surya Kumar Yadav and Prithivi shaw set to travel the UK after the formalities. This latest report gives fear that their plan can be spoiled, tough times for the Indian team in this Pandemic situation.

Earlier in England, Rishabh Pant had tested positive for Covid-19 and he was isolated alongside Wriddhiman Saha, Abhimanyu Easwaran and Bharat Arun.

During the IPL, several players had tested positive for Covid-19 and the tournament was eventually suspended. The 2021 IPL will resume in the UAE from September 19.
