Vivo IPL 2021 : On Monday, Kolkata Knight Riders kicked Royal Challengers Bangalore out of the competition by 4 wickets in the Eliminator.

In India, cricket is considered as a religion. Indian fans are usually ecstatic when it comes to RCB and captain Kohli, regardless of whether they win or lose. The same thing happened on Monday in the Eliminator of the IPL 2021, when RCB and KKR faced off. KKR won by four wickets and proceeded to Qualifiers 2, where they will compete against DC for a place in the finals. After a strong start from the top order, RCB were restricted to 138 runs for 7 wickets in their entire 20 overs, owing largely to KKR’s spin bowlers, particularly Sunil Narine, who took 4/21. (the wickets of KS Bharat, Kohli, Maxwell and AB de Villiers).

Kohli’s aim of winning the IPL before stepping down as captain was shattered after the loss. On the other hand, the emotions of RCB fans were completely destroyed. Fans took the loss very seriously, and certain RCB players, particularly Glen Maxwell and Daniel Christian, had to deal with anger on social media. It got to the point where these cricketers had to go on social media and implore the supporters not to respond in this manner.

But, as it occurred, it spread like a wildfire through the forests. Many fans rallied around Glenn Maxwell and Daniel Christian, and Twitter was swamped with messages of support.
