The Tata Group, one of India’s largest business corporate giants, is set to replace Chinese mobile maker Vivo as the Indian Premier League’s main sponsor beginning this year, according to the event’s governing council, which met on Tuesday. We will now refer to it as the TATA IPL. TATA Group will sponsor the IPL beginning with the upcoming season in April, according to the report.

“Yes, Tata group is coming in as IPL title sponsor,” IPL chairman Brijesh Patel confirmed the development to PTI. Fans also looked pleased with this decision and their happiness was shown in the Twitter.

Despite rumours that they were looking to sell the rights to a suitable bidder, the Vivo brand returned as IPL title sponsor in 2021, and the BCCI approved the move. Earlier, the Chinese company Vivo had a Rs 2,200-crore title sponsorship deal from 2018 to 2022, but the brand took a year off after the 2020 Galwan Valley military showdown between Indian and Chinese Army soldiers, with Dream11 replacing it for the 2020 season.
