As per the latest report, the Pakistan Cricket Board wants to replace Misbah-Ul-Haq with others as a head coach. PCB is not happy with the present Head coach. However, the former Pakistan cricketer will continue as a head coach till the ICC T20 world cup 2021, which is scheduled in October.

When Pakistan Cricket Board looking for a replacement they preferred to have a foreign coach. They approached former Zimbabwean cricketer Andy Flower, who is the head coach of various franchise teams across the world. Presently he is busy with CPL, where he is the head coach of St Lucia Kings.

Andy Flower is the head coach of the Multan Sultans team in the Pakistan Super League as well as the Delhi Bulls in the T10 League. In the Indian Premier League, he is the assistant coach of Punjab Kings. In Hundred Competition he is the head coach of Trent Rockets.

When the PCB approached Andy flower he denied the Pakistan team proposal by saying that he wants to focus on franchise cricket and because of that he doesn’t want to be a head coach of the Pakistan Cricket team.

Andy Flower was the star player for the Zimbabwe side for more than ten years and represented the Zimbabwe cricket team in 63 Tests, and 213 ODI matches. While he scored 4794 runs in the whites at an excellent average of 51.55, he also scored 6786 runs in the ODI format of the game at an average in excess of 35. He has scored 16 centuries in both Tests and ODIs put together.

Pakistan team recently toured West Indies and won the T2o series and managed to draw the Test series. And, their next assignment is to play limited over cricket matches against visiting the New Zealand team (3 ODI & 5 T20Is) starting from September 17, 2021. Before the T20 world cup, they will play 2 T20Is against the England cricket team (Oct 13 & 14)
