The expectation of the cricket fans will rise when India and Pakistan playing against each other. Previously India and Pakistan teams tour each other country to play, but now that is not the case due to political issues between Asian neighbors.

Previously India toured Pakistan in 2006, and Pakistan toured India in the year 2012, Since then both are playing against each other in Multination tournaments such as an Asia cup and ICC events. ICC T20 world cup is scheduled for October 2021. 

India and Pakistan going to play against each other on Oct 24, 2021. Ahead of that Babar Azam addressed media, 

Babar Azam told that their series against New Zealand would be a great opportunity for the players to cement their place in the team.

We have picked a balanced squad for New Zealand ODIs. We are facing issues in the middle-order and this series is a good opportunity for players making a comeback to cement their place in the side. There is no pressure of captaincy on me. I try to learn from my mistakes,” he said.

Lack of match practice for India ahead of T20 WC

“India will be under more pressure, as compared to Pakistan, during the T20 World Cup match as they have not played T20 cricket as a group for quite a while. India are currently playing Test cricket and after that, they will get busy with franchise cricket.” Babar told.

Currently, India playing test series against England in the UK, and after that Indian players will play IPL matches before the World cup.

He further added that UAE is like the home ground for Pakistan and try to give 100 percent on the field.“The UAE is like our home ground and we will try to give our 100 percent on the field,” Azam told.

IPL final and T20 WC scheduled very close, if any player getting injured will be missed out for the ICC mega event.
