Indian captain Virat Kohli’s trumpet celebration raised the eyebrows of fans across the world. That celebration got a mixed response, Fox sports put up an article by stating that “Classless”.

It’s learned that Virat Kohli’s celebration on Day 5 is just a reply to “Barmy Army” known as a union of England cricket fans, actually, they were doing the trumpet celebration when England was ahead in the match. Eventually, India won the game by 157 runs.

Kohli never failed to give a response to the crowd, Unlike the finger he once pointed at an SCG crowd, Kohli used them all. A 10-finger trumpet job to take the mickey out of the ‘Barmy Army’.

England’s Daily Mail cricket journalist Lawrence Booth sarcastically tweeted: “Love this. His teammates are celebrating a wicket, but Kohli finds the time to taunt the England fans. Doesn’t miss a trick!”.

Fox sports, reacted to the Indian captain by making an article and putting head line as classless. Immediately former Indian player Wasim Jaffer came to defend Virat Kohli.

“Captain Courageous: World applauds as Virat Kohli’s team brings dead game to life and scripts historic win. Here fixed it for you

@FoxCricket#ENGvIND” Wasim Jaffer tweeted.

I Love it- Michael Vaughn

Former England player Michael Vaughn supported Kohli’s act by saying “Virat Kohli is an incredible leader. You know, he’s got this incredible buzz of energy. He was taking a shot at the Barmy Army with his trumpet signs to the stands. I love it. I just think we don’t have enough characters in the game and when we have someone like Virat Kohli doing just that… just kind of mimicking the crowd… trying to get his own supporters going,” Michael Vaughan told Fox Cricket.

“Those who are complaining are just boring. They don’t understand entertainment. We’re in an entertainment industry where we need people like Kohli” Vaughn further added.
