It’s been more than three months since IPL 2021 was suspended in the midway, last month BCCI released the venue and the fixture, since then fans are counting their days to see the live-action of IPL 2021, which is scheduled to resume by September 19th with a cracking contest between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians.
Already Delhi Capitals started their training camp ahead of IPL 2021. It is learned, that table-toppers Delhi Capitals and Chennai Super Kings requested BCCI to depart one month prior to resumption of IPL 2021 in UAE, and a few days back BCCI gives permission for all the teams to travel to UAE after August 10, Now the CSK set to start their journey to UAE by August 13th, 2021.
CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan confirmed that MS Dhoni will travel with the team, “We’re planning to leave by August 13. All domestic players, including skipper MS Dhoni, will leave that day for Dubai,” said Kasi Viswanathan as quoted by Cricbuzz.
One of the successful teams in the tournament, for the first time, didn’t qualify for the Playoffs in the last year. This year they made a comeback in a style by winning 5 matches from seven matches they have played, and looking more stronger in this year as they are found the balance in their team, and looking to reach playoffs this year.
CSK last time won the title in the year of 2018, in 2019 they almost came close to win the trophy for the fourth time but missed it closest margin. This time they are in the need to win the trophy as this is the last IPL for their captain MS Dhoni who is not in good form in IPL after his retirement from international cricket, he just scored 37 runs from four innings he batted in this year IPL, Hopefully we can see the vintage Dhoni in the second phase.
