Gautam Gambhir made an impactful performance in two ICC finals (WT20 2007 and WC 2011) to help India lift the trophies. Often, he was in the headlines due to his bold statement about Indian cricket. Now, he is the head coach of the Indian Men’s cricket team, and his tenure starts with the India-Srilankan bilateral series.

Here is a short brief about his playing and his coaching career, he scored more than 10,000 runs across all formats of cricket. Till his retirement he lead India in six outings without losing a single game.

After 2011 world cup, his form dipped and he lost his place to the Shikar Dhawan and Murali Vijay, later he made come back in 2014 in longer format but couldn’t make impact to be there in the India squad.

In December 2018, he announced his retirement from all forms of cricket, in IPL he won two titles for KKR and as a Mentor he won it again for KKR in 2024.

Now for the next three years he will travel along with Indian Men’s cricket team to achieve the glory.
