On Saturday, the wicket-keeper batsman, Wriddhiman Saha, shared a tweet that showed a well-known journalist misbehaving with him and forcing him to do an interview. Saha, who was recently dropped from the Indian Test side, The selection committee announced an 18-player squad and Shah was not there, which meant the playing days for him were over.
For that purpose, a well-known journalist tried to reach Saha for an interview, and when he didn’t get a response from the wicket-keeper batsman, he threatened him. Shah shared the screenshot on his twitter account, saying that, “After all of my contributions to Indian cricket..this is what I face from a so-called “Respected” journalist! This is where the journalism has gone.“
After this incident, many ex-cricketers came out in support of the wicket-keeper batsman and termed this event disgraceful. Former Indian head coach Ravi Shastri asked the BCCI president, Sourabh Ganguly, to investigate this matter because this can’t be done with any international player. Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Irfan Pathan, and Pragya Ohja also offers their support to Saha. However, fans also didn’t like this kind of behaviour towards Saha, and Twitter flooded in support. Saha has not disclosed the name of that journalist till now, but fans did guess that it was senior journalist “Boria Majumdar.”
It has been learnt that BCCI has asked Saha to tell the name of the person that they can take the action against him. However, fans also showed their anger on Twitter.
